Top Review: “My goodness, this one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. A pricey breakfast, but so good. Stopped here our first morning in Chicago. Waited about 20 minutes to be seated (you could be seated more quickly if you chose outside, which I didn’t want). The service is fast, the staff are friendly. We ordered the eggs benedict, yogurt with granola, pumpkin pancakes, and a couple of lattes. Every things was so dang good. The yogurt was plentiful, it was vat of yogurt with granola and fresh fruit. The eggs benedict were rich. It was the best hollandaise sauce I’d ever tasted. We loved it so much we talked about going back the next day to try more things. But then we got the check (roughly $100) and decided maybe it wasn’t the best idea for our wallets to go back to back days.”Vanessa F.

Top Review: “Had to expect a decent wait time for a weekend breakfast.  But once we were seated, I can say that the food was worth a lot more than that.  Had the French Toast Flight. Unbelievable!  Melt in your mouth good!  I don’t live in Chicago, but if I did I would live across the street and invest in a good exercise regimen”Larry S.

Top Review: “I really enjoyed this place. I was torn between the pancakes and the French toast. I really had my heart set on pancakes this morning so I went ahead and got them. They are d-lish-us! 3 was wayyyyy too many for me though. Next time I know to get half the order, which they allow. The chicken sausage was also very good. No complaints. I just recently stopped eating pork and I was completely satisfied. Just do it! You won’t regret it.”Tessie E.

We tried several things and it was all good honestly id be open to giving everything on the menu a try. both veggie and vegan options, plenty of meaty options as well. While other restaurants use the modern way of cooking their dishes, this brunch spot prefers it the old fashioned way. There is something unique and delicious when the way you cook your meal is how your ancestors prepare their dishes.

Known as the keeper of the hearth, Etta wanted to create sophisticated yet familiar dishes by using expert cooking techniques. Preparing meals using the wood fired technique requires skill and patience. While the restaurant celebrates rustic cuisine, they are still considerate of the season. Thus their menu is frequently updated.

Top Review: “Everything we tried was delicious! We ordered the focaccia bread for the table and wow! I loved the ricotta spread and the jam. Literally to die for. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was scrumptious! The egg was cooked perfectly and it paired well with the savory flavors of the pork belly and sausage. They took an ordinary breakfast food and elevated it. Will definitely be back to try their other menu items. My friend’s huevos rancheros had an awesome spin! They had braised pork which tasted exactly like carnitas. So good! Their coffee also came with free refills which was a nice surprise.” Gabriela L.
