A family-owned Southeast Asian gem tucked in the heart of Downtown Rogers, Arkansas, House 1830 is rewriting the script on authentic dining in Northwest Arkansas. 🌿
Born from a 30-year family legacy rooted in the kitchens of Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand, this restaurant isn’t just a place to eat — it’s a place to belong.

How House 1830 Won Rogers’ Hearts
What happens when a family with three decades of restaurant heritage, a refugee camp origin story, and generations-old recipes decides to plant roots in Arkansas?
You get House 1830, and you get a community that falls head over heels for it. 🍜
The story of House 1830 begins long before its 2023 opening in Downtown Rogers.
Co-founders ThanhBinh (Binh) Hoang and his brother VinhQuang (Quang) Hoang — both of Vietnamese descent, born in a refugee camp in Thailand to parents who fled Laos under gunfire — brought with them a story that is as deeply moving as the food is deeply flavorful.

The name “1830” itself is taken from the house number of Binh’s and Quang’s childhood home — a detail that speaks volumes about what this restaurant is really about: home.
The family started as a food booth in 1992 and grew that passion into six restaurants in Oregon before making NW Arkansas their new frontier.
At the helm of the kitchen is Executive Chef Be (Vatsana Hoang), Quang’s wife, a culinary force with over 25 years of mastering traditional Southeast Asian cooking.
Her expertise spans Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand, shaped by a lineage that traces back to her mother-in-law, whose own father was a trained chef.

When House 1830 opened its doors in The District – Downtown Rogers, it did so with minimal publicity — yet word spread fast.
Every recipe is crafted the way it’s been made for generations in Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand — using ingredients and techniques that are rarely found on restaurant menus in the U.S., let alone in Northwest Arkansas.
Add to that the family’s trademark warmth, an open kitchen concept that lets guests watch the magic happen, and seasonal events like the beloved Night Market that brings the magic of Southeast Asian street food culture to Rogers, and you have a restaurant that doesn’t just feed people — it moves them.
