Louisville’s NuLu neighborhood welcomed a burger destination when this food truck graduated to brick-and-mortar in June 2014.
Grind Burger Kitchen at 829 E Market St brings house-ground, hand-trimmed, grass-fed burgers to Kentucky’s bourbon country.
Started by Chef Jesse Huot and owner Liz Huot in Spring 2012, this spot earned national attention including a feature on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

What Makes Grind Burger Kitchen Special
Every burger starts with 1/3-pound house-ground, hand-trimmed, hormone-and-antibiotic-free grass-fed beef cooked to order.
The mission focuses on serving superior, chef-driven burgers using the best local and regional ingredients prepared by happy employees paid fair wages.
Guy Fieri raved about the veggie burger saying “such phenomenal texture” about the well-seasoned blend of roasted vegetables, quinoa, and pumpkin seeds.

The Story Behind Grind Burger Kitchen
The Huots began as Grind Gourmet Burger Truck serving grass-fed burgers from a tiny trailer in Spring 2012.
Demand grew so quickly that by June 2014 they opened a permanent location in popular NuLu, Louisville’s restaurant-centric neighborhood.
The brick-and-mortar success led to local and national recognition, turning their passion for good food into a thriving Louisville institution.
