Tucked into a restored tobacco warehouse in downtown Tifton, Georgia, Fresco Italiano turns a slice of local history into a destination for scratch-made pasta and aged steaks. 🍝
This family-run Italian restaurant in Tifton has spent nine years earning a loyal crowd, and one look at the menu quickly explains the devotion. 🔥

How Fresco Italiano won Tifton’s hearts
Fresco Italiano began in Sylvester, Georgia, inside a former cotton warehouse. 🏚️
The Torres family later moved the restaurant to Tifton, where it took over part of a former tobacco warehouse.
Owner Christian Torres has said the family fell in love with the idea of renewing that big, long space.
The Tifton doors opened in 2017, and the restaurant became part of a downtown revitalization story that locals now love to tell. 🏙️

The recipe for local loyalty is simple: make everything in-house and keep the neighborhood in mind. 🤝
Torres described the goal as being a place where you can get a plate of lasagna or pasta in the middle of the week.
On weekends, he said, the restaurant turns into something closer to an Italian steakhouse for dress-up date nights. 🥂
The kitchen is well known for fresh sauces, and the family says it sources the freshest ingredients it can get.
It is a family-owned restaurant through and through, run by Mónica Torres Hunt and her relatives, who also operate the Torres Hospitality Group. 👨👩👧👦
