Treat yourself to a nice vacation because you deserve all of it and more. What better way to do it than on a cruise ship that’s the height of luxury? The Celebrity Edge cruise ship is nothing like you’ve ever experienced, and it’s one of the most unique cruise ships to come out in recent years.
Its ship design veers away from the traditional, with the first “Magic Carpet” feature and an “Infinite Veranda” in half of the staterooms. Its unique ship design were all made in 3D and pushed for improved sea travel and overall experience. You’ll forget all your worries the instant that you’re on board!
Celebrity Edge is the lead vessel and namesake of the new line of cruise ships coming from the Celebrity Cruises fleet. Its famous Magic Carpet feature is a floating platform on the ship’s side that doubles as a dining and lounge area.
Another feature that sets it apart is its Infinite Veranda rooms. Rather than having an outdoor balcony, you have a little veranda area where you can partially open to get some fresh air or keep enclosed in a separate area of the room. 50% of the rooms have this, while the others have an ocean view.
If it’s your first time on a cruise, don’t worry about a thing. Celebrity Edge is primarily marketed to first-time cruisers but frequent travelers. It’s a whole new cruise experience, so they’re giving this to newcomers.
The crowds tend to represent middle- to upper-class people in their mid-40s. Celebrity Edge isn’t really designed for families in mind. However, you’ll still see some of them, especially during holidays or summer breaks.
Since its operations, the ship has gotten many awards. These are the 2020 Best Overall Ship by Travel Weekly’s 18th Reader’s Choice Awards and Travel Weekly’s Magellan Awards’ 2020 Gold Award Premium Ship and 2020 Gold Award Large Ship.

995 of the rooms have a king-sized bed with their standard eXhale bedding featuring a Cashmere Mattress.
What’s more, these rooms blur the lines between what’s supposed to be inside or outside these cabins. You’ll discover this with their Infinite Veranda balconies and floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
Some of the standout features of all rooms are:
- conveniently located bedside USB ports

The Retreat includes access to the private restaurant, Luminae, and the exclusive Retreat Lounge and Retreat Sundeck.
Aside from that, you’ll also get your own attendants, access to a 24/7 concierge, and a personal retreat host. These attendants are all at your service for whatever you need, ranging from reservations to snacks.
Perks that are always included in The Retreat are Shore Excursion Credit, Premium drinks, Streaming WIFI, tips, and onboard credit.
All the suites in Celebrity Edge and their state-of-the-art designs were done by interior designer Kelly Hoppen.
The Iconic Suite is the largest suite on Celebrity Edge, and there are only two of them on board.
They’re located at the front of the ship, right above the bridge, so you get to see the same view as the captain. It can accommodate up to six people with gorgeous panoramic views from its floor-to-ceiling windows. The interior has 1,892 sq ft., while the balcony has 689 sq ft.
The suite has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a private terrace, a pantry, and standard Retreat amenities.
The living area has a dining table for six, a convertible couch, a cocktail table, and more. The balcony isn’t your ordinary balcony, but it’s also got a hot tub and a sunbed. The master bedroom has the Celebrity Edge king-sized bed and a whirlpool tub in the master bathroom.
