Top Review: “I have never found another pizza like Zaffiro’s. The pizza has an unmatched crispy cracker thin crust. Typically, I prefer thick crust, but Zaffiro’s is on a whole different level of thin crust compared to other thin crust pizzas, and it’s so good! The pizza is sliced into squares which makes it easy to share too. The inside of the shop has a lot of character which makes it a great ambiance while eating. There is also a bar inside!”Bianca J.

Top Review: “Our first visit was everything we hoped it would be. We were seated at the pizza bar where we watched the chef and his team put out pizza after pizza. It was so fun to watch! Everything that came out looked delicious. The drinks were great, the pizzas were fantastic, the service was great, and everyone was very friendly. The Quattro Formaggi was our favorite, and the Maria Carmella was also fantastic. We can’t wait to go back!”Jill B.

Santino’s Little Italy

Santino’s Little Italy is a local favorite, serving Neapolitan pizza to the community. You can find them in a 19th-century building that had its roots as a tavern and brothel back in the day.

If you look up, you can also admire the abstract mural that adorns their ceiling. They go for something simple but flavorful when it comes to their pizza.

They do well with simple ingredients and traditional flavors. But you can also try their specialty pizzas.

Top Review: “Great food, and fun Italian restaurant. The inside is decked out with photos and old videos all while playing great music in the background. The food is delicious. Everything we got was amazing. I loved the greek pizza and eggplant fries! Although it is a bit pricey, it’s definitely a great spot for a date night! And don’t forget to finish the night with tirimisu.”Katie G.

Speaking of unique, the cheeseburger pizza is all the rave:

Top Review: “Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and I couldn’t be happier. I have been here before, but it’s been a minute. I have been waiting patiently to enjoy the dill pizza, and ENJOY I DID. One of the best pizzas I have ever had. The crust, sauce, and toppings were delicious. My friend had a build your own pizza and loved hers as well. Our waitress was super kind and gave us our drinks for free when we experienced a long wait. She went above and beyond and we really appreciated her top notch service. The place was bustling but not too loud or uncomfortable. I love the atmosphere and highly recommend Transfer for anyone looking for a slice in a cool part of MKE.”Torrie B.

Top Review: “Balistreri’s has been consistently great for the well over 30 years we have been going there.  We have yet to find another restaurant that cooks the fried eggplant as well.  Not to mention the thin, but yet crispy, crust pizza, it’s the best!!  We have also had various pasta dishes (also very tasty) over the years but, we seem to gravitate to the tried and true eggplant and pizza meal. The staff is also very pleasant, many of which have been there for many years, the familiar faces are comforting. Especially Gina, one of the managers that has been there a long time, she’s always friendly and takes the time to come chat, even when they are slammed busy!”Dave S.
