Top Review: “Breakfast for dinner? Heck yes! Loved that they offer Breakfast all day long – I went with the breakfast sandwich – sooooo good! I also enjoyed their Tom Collins cocktail – light, refreshing, and boozy! The service was ok – they were very busy for a Tuesday night.  Our waitress was not able to get to us until after 10 minutes after sitting. Cocktails and food also took awhile to come out. Don’t let that keep you from visiting though, as the food and cocktails were worth the wait!”Melissa C.

The Dandy Lion

Top Review: “My personal winner for favorite brunch in Iowa City has been The Dandy Lion ever since it opened ⁣ at this visit, I got the Lodger Special once again because it’s so hard not to. The tomato gravy is good and tangy which is the perfect sauce for eggs. And I don’t know what they do to those hashbrowns but we all ate them so fast. My eggs were runny in the best way, just like I like it! My friend got the Eggs Benedict and I’d be interested to try it with the ham next time ⁣instead of the smoked salmon. See you soon Dandy Lion!”Meredith L.

Their fried potatoes and mushroom toast were so good, and if you love octopus, you will not be disappointed by their grilled octopus, which is cooked to perfection. Our table got the Crispy Brussel Sprout Hash⁣, Eggs Benny Florentine⁣, Sunny Brunch Burger⁣, and Mojo Breakfast Burrito⁣. I’m still thinking about my Eggs Benny Florentine and will be for a while because of that perfectly runny yolk and the tangy hollandaise. Always love when my side potatoes come so fresh! And can’t forget the HALF PRICE mimosa tower from 9-11am. I know they have  afternoon happy hour too for drinks so check it out; love the vibe and great wait staff as a bonus to the food”Meredith L.

I butchered the French name as I was ordering it. Turkey bacon, egg, cheddar, spinach, and homemade pesto.  I would have taken a picture, but it’s already in my belly!”Miranda S.
